About

Dr. Ayala Bloch

Neuropsychologist & Rehabilitation Researcher

Background

Dr. Ayala Bloch is a neuropsychologist and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of cognitive rehabilitation, neuropsychological assessment, and the psychology of disability. She leads AYALAB — a research and clinical practice dedicated to advancing both the science and the human experience of neurological recovery.

Her research spans vocational neuropsychological rehabilitation following acquired brain injury and cancer, implicit motor learning in spinal cord injury, the landscape of neuropsychological assessment in the Israeli healthcare system, and the psychological dimensions of adaptation to disability. She has published extensively in leading international journals and maintains active collaborations with rehabilitation centers, medical institutions, and universities in Israel and abroad.

Alongside her research, Dr. Bloch provides individual counseling and neuropsychological services, working with adults navigating the cognitive, emotional, and identity challenges that accompany neurological illness and injury. She is committed to practice that is both scientifically grounded and deeply attentive to the person.
